Tavrendo1.1: Folder Comparison Software for Windows

Updated: 15 hours ago
A delivery folder can look complete and still contain missing files, empty files, or unexpected changes. Tavrendo helps you check that folder before handing it off—and verify it again later.
Tavrendo 1.1 expands that workflow with direct comparison of two live folders, easier repeat checks, clearer coverage information, and results you can review and export from the main application window.
It remains a local-first Windows application. Checks read your selected files without silently moving, renaming, deleting, or repairing them.
Compare Two Live Folders with Folder Comparison Software
Tavrendo is folder comparison software for Windows that also checks delivery requirements and verifies folders against Saved Records. Version 1.1 adds direct live-folder comparison, clearer coverage information, and easier access to results and exports.
You can now compare two current folders without creating Saved Records first.
Choose Folder A as your baseline and Folder B as the folder to compare. For example, you could compare an original delivery folder with a copy on another drive.
Tavrendo reports Added, Removed, Modified, and Unchanged files using file paths and SHA-256 content fingerprints. Added and Removed are interpreted relative to Folder A: a file found only in Folder B is Added; a file found only in Folder A is Removed.
This makes it easier to review differences between two folders you already have. Tavrendo performs the comparison; you continue using your usual tools to copy files or make corrections.

Verify a Folder After Copying or Delivery
If you want to compare a destination with an earlier recorded state, use a Saved Record.
Create the Saved Record from the source folder before transferring the files. After copying or delivery, use Verify After Copy/Delivery to check the destination against that record.
Verification identifies Matched, Missing, Unexpected, and Modified files. Review those results alongside the available coverage information, then save the verification outputs you need.
The distinction is useful: live-folder comparison reads two folders as they exist now, while verification uses a retained Saved Record as its baseline.
Repeat Checks Without Rebuilding the Setup
Recurring deliveries often use the same folder and Profile.
Repeat Recent Check restores a recent Folder and Profile selection so you can review the setup and start another check. It runs against the current files and current Profile—not the previous results.
If a folder or Profile has moved, choose its replacement before running the check.
Understand What Was Checked
A result is more useful when you can also understand its coverage.
Tavrendo 1.1 presents available inventory information, hashing information where supported, and recorded exceptions such as skipped or unreadable items.
Inventoried counts describe what the scanner observed. They do not, by themselves, prove that every file was hashed or verified. Unknown totals and incomplete coverage deserve attention, even when the displayed result appears favorable.
Progress is also clearer. A completed progress bar means the workflow finished its work; it does not mean the folder received PASS. Always read the actual result and any coverage caveats.
Review Results and Save Documentation
Check, Verify, and Compare results remain in the main application window, making it easier to review findings and choose an export. Additional comparison details are available when you need them.
The outputs serve different purposes:
Check Folder: Save an audit CSV to document findings and create a Saved Record for later verification.
Verify: Save verification CSVs or readable verification reports.
Compare: Save a comparison CSV containing file-change details.
Comparison CSVs include old/new paths, file sizes, and SHA-256 fingerprints beyond the simplified on-screen table. Coverage notes remain in the application’s results panel, so review them before relying on or sharing the CSV.
A Saved Record is separate from a report. Keep it when you need a baseline for future verification or comparison of saved versions.

Review Possible Renames and Moves Carefully
Tavrendo may identify a Possible Rename/Move when matching content fingerprints and file sizes provide an unambiguous candidate.
This is supporting evidence, not proof that someone renamed or moved a file. The underlying Added and Removed entries remain visible, and repeated identical content can prevent a candidate from being identified.
That approach helps you investigate changes without presenting an assumption as a confirmed event.
A Practical Delivery Workflow
For a recurring client handoff, a useful process is:
Check the source folder against the appropriate reusable Profile.
Review findings and coverage information.
Make any corrections outside TavrendoPass , then run a fresh check.
Create a Saved Record before transferring the files.
Copy or deliver using your usual tools.
Verify the destination against the Saved Record and save the available results.
If you simply need to compare two folders already on your system, choose Compare Two Live Folders instead.
Local Checks With Clear Limits
Tavrendo 1.1 is for Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Folder checking, verification, and comparison run locally without requiring the selected folder contents to be uploaded.
Internet access is required for initial license activation. A successfully activated Full License can continue working offline.
Tavrendo checks configured file and folder requirements and compares content fingerprints. It does not inspect files inside ZIP archives, interpret PDF text, certify document correctness, or replace backups.
Try Tavrendo 1.1
Whether you prepare client deliveries, review copied folders, or retain records of changing file sets, Tavrendo 1.1 gives you more ways to check the folder and document the result.
