Folder Comparison Software: Check Your Delivery Before You Send It

You’ve gathered the files, copied the folder, and checked that the transfer finished. But is the delivery actually ready?
A successful copy can reproduce a folder exactly—including missing deliverables, empty files, inconsistent filenames, and gaps in a numbered sequence.
That is where TavrendoPass can help. It combines reusable folder requirements, file comparison, verification, and saved documentation in one Windows application.
Turn Your Delivery Checklist Into a Repeatable Check
If you prepare similar deliveries regularly, you probably check many of the same things each time.
Does the folder contain the required files? Are the filenames consistent? Is the image sequence complete? Are there empty files or exact duplicates that need attention?
With TavrendoPass, you can put supported requirements into a reusable Profile, then apply that Profile to each delivery.
Depending on the rules you enable, Check Folder can identify:
Missing required files or folders.
Empty files and exact duplicate content.
Naming and file-extension problems.
File-count and size-limit issues.
Gaps in numbered file sequences.
Review PASS, WARN, or FAIL findings alongside the available coverage information and exceptions. Make any corrections using your usual tools, then run a fresh check.
PASS means the configured checks passed against the available evidence. It does not certify document correctness or requirements you did not configure.

“Review folder-check findings and available coverage information before delivery.”
Compare Two Folders Without Creating Records First
Already have an original folder and a copy?
Use Compare Two Live Folders to select Folder A and Folder B and review Added, Removed, Modified, and Unchanged files.
For example, you might compare a client delivery folder with its copy on an external drive, or review differences between two project versions.
TavrendoPass compares file-level information and SHA-256 content fingerprints. It helps identify changed files without requiring you to inspect every filename manually.
It does not merge edits or synchronize the folders. You decide what changes to make outside the application.
Keep a Reference You Can Verify Later
Sometimes you need to compare a folder with an earlier state—even when the original folder has since changed.
Create a Saved Record to retain recorded file information and SHA-256 fingerprints. Later, use:
Verify Folder to check a current folder against that record.
Verify After Copy or Delivery to check a destination against a record created before transfer.
Compare Saved Versions to review changes between two Saved Records.
A Saved Record is a reference for verification, not a backup of your files.
Save Documentation of the Work
Checking a folder is useful. Keeping the results helps you review the delivery later.
TavrendoPass provides outputs suited to each workflow:
Check Folder: PDF receipts, audit CSVs, and Saved Records.
Verify: Verification CSVs and readable reports.
Compare: Comparison CSVs containing file-change details.
Comparison CSVs include old/new paths, file sizes, and SHA-256 fingerprints beyond the simplified on-screen table. Coverage notes remain in the application’s results panel.
You can keep these outputs with your project documentation as a record of the checks performed and the findings reported.

Keep a record of your check. TavrendoPass can save a PDF receipt showing the selected Profile, checks performed, results, and findings. This sample identified three missing required files.
How Does TavrendoPass Fit Alongside Other Tools?
Several established products support parts of this process.
Beyond Compare, made by Scooter Software, offers detailed file and folder comparison, merging, synchronization, reports, and snapshots. WinMerge offers open-source Windows comparison and merging. FreeFileSync combines folder comparison with synchronization.
TeraCopy focuses on copying and checksum verification. FolderManifest supports manifests, folder comparison, saved-state verification, and broader file-management and archive workflows.
These products have overlapping capabilities. TavrendoPass brings together delivery requirements, folder-level findings, comparison, verification, and documentation in a guided Windows workflow.
You may use it alongside your existing copy or comparison tool. For example, check the delivery requirements in TavrendoPass, transfer the files using your usual software, then verify the destination against a Saved Record.
Try It With Your Next Delivery
Choose a representative folder and configure the requirements that matter to your work.
Run the check, review the findings, compare a copy, and save the available documentation. That gives you a practical way to assess whether TavrendoPass fits your delivery process.
TavrendoPass 1.1 runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Ordinary folder checks, verification, and comparison run locally and do not silently alter the selected files.
It checks ZIP and PDF files as whole files; it does not inspect their internal contents or provide document-level editing comparisons.
Spend less time repeating your checklist. Check the folder, review the evidence, and keep a record before your next handoff.
